My first stop? The absolutely enchanting Jibhi Waterfall.

It’s just a short, easy walk from the main village. I followed a narrow trail that was totally picturesque—tall pine trees towering overhead and little rustic wooden bridges crossing the stream. Even before I saw it, I could hear the gentle roar of the water, building the excitement.

When it finally came into view, I was completely spellbound. The crystal-clear water cascaded so gracefully into a small pool, framed by these beautiful, moss-covered rocks. Honestly, it looked straight out of a Disney movie or a fairytale!

I ended up sitting there for ages, just soaking up the unbelievably peaceful atmosphere. The locals told me that the very best time to visit is early in the morning, when the sunlight filters through the trees and creates a magical, golden shimmer over the water. Trust me, it’s the perfect spot to truly unwind and reconnect with nature.

2. Jalori Pass – Gateway to the Mountains

Next on my itinerary was Jalori Pass, which happens to be one of the highest motorable passes here in Himachal Pradesh.

Honestly, the drive itself was an adventure! The road from Jibhi is all narrow, winding turns, surrounded by thick pine forests, with these spectacular, distant glimpses of snow-capped peaks. When I finally made it to the top, the chilly mountain air hit me, and the panoramic view completely took my breath away.

Standing there at over 10,000 feet above sea level, I immediately understood why Jalori Pass is the ideal spot for trekking and photography. I even got to sip on some piping hot chai from a little roadside stall while spotting a few beautiful Himalayan birds! This pass is truly a hub for explorers, as trails leading to both Serolsar Lake and Raghupur Fort start right here.

3.Serolsar Lake – A Peaceful Trek to Tranquility

From Jalori Pass, I decided to take the beautiful, moderately challenging 5-kilometer trek to Serolsar Lake.

The whole trail was just incredible! It cut right through thick forests of oak and rhododendron, giving me these amazing, occasional sneak peeks of the valleys below. It took me about two hours to get there, but the minute I laid eyes on the lake, I knew it was worth every single step.

The water, this stunning emerald green, just glistened under the sun, creating a perfect, mirror-like reflection of the surrounding hills. It’s truly breathtaking. The locals actually believe the lake is sacred, and there’s a charming little temple dedicated to Budhi Nagin right nearby.

This one is my most favourite places in the 6 Places To Visit In Jibhi Himachal Pardesh

4.Raghupur Fort – History Among the Hills

Just a quick, easy trek from Jalori Pass, I found myself at Raghupur Fort, a historical site perched among these huge, open meadows.

Even though all that remains today are ruins, the site offers the most breathtaking, uninterrupted 360-degree views of the Himalayas. Standing right on the edge of the fort, with the clouds literally floating around me, the atmosphere was completely dreamlike. It felt like I was on top of the world.

There’s this amazing, ancient charm to the place—local legends say it was actually built by King Raghupur centuries ago. Plus, those open meadows? They’re absolutely perfect for camping or just unwinding with a cup of tea while you watch the mountains change colors as the sun goes down.

5.Chehni Kothi – A Glimpse Into Ancient Architecture

Tirthan Valley Chehni Kothi 03

Out of all the places in Jibhi and the Tirthan Valley, Chehni Kothi absolutely fascinated me the most.

Tucked away in a small village near Jibhi, this towering wooden structure is a masterpiece and a living symbol of traditional Himachali craftsmanship. It’s built in the incredible Kath Kuni style, using only interlocked stone and wood, with not a drop of cement or a single metal nail! It’s astonishing that this massive tower, which dates back to the 17th century, is still standing today, having even survived earthquakes.

The walk up to Chehni Kothi was definitely a bit steep, but the panoramic views of the entire valley—plus the genuinely warm hospitality of the villagers—made the effort totally worthwhile. If you’re into history, unique architecture, or simply want a close-up experience of Himachali culture, this spot is a must-see.

6. Tirthan Valley – The Soul of Jibhi

Tirthan Valley

This place is a dream if you love nature—it’s famous for trout fishing, beautiful hikes, and easy nature walks. I met travelers from all corners of the world here, all equally captivated by the valley’s quiet, untouched beauty.

And those sunsets? They are pure magic. . It was the perfect, memorable ending to my journey.
